Salt Fundraiser Begins for 2021

In pre-COVID times, the Iowa City Music Auxiliary hosted an annual physical Car Wash to raise money for ICCSD band, choir, and orchestras. Because of the challenges faced by the pandemic in 2020, we canceled the physical car wash and created a new tradition: The Salt Fundraiser.

This year, we once again are selling bags and jugs of salt to melt the winter ice on your sidewalks and driveways!

To order, visit http://iowacitymusicauxiliary.org/salt-2021/

Costco has partnered with us to provide a socially distant fundraiser! Salt Pre-orders will be taken online from October 9 to 23. Then, patrons will pick up their salt on November 10, at Costco in Coralville. Parent and Student Volunteers will load up the salt using our easy carline pick up in the Costco parking garage.

The funds raised will help purchase sheet music, equipment, PPE, entry fees, and more – for music students from 5th–12th grade. Our goal is to raise $25,000 with this fundraiser.
